Following heart surgeryLung cancerPatients resuscitated from out-of-hospital cardiac arrestStaphylococcus aureus bacteremiaWe investigate the efficacy of two pharmaceutical interventions for reducing mortality and organ damageand shortening length of hospital stay in patients undergoing heart surgery (i.e. coronary artery bypass grafting and/or heart valve replacement).patients experience poor postoperative pain control and a moderate/high opioid consumptions. This is correlated to adverese events and poor outcome.
