Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -participation in endurance-based training (e.g., marathon, triathlon) for more than 1 year -training more than 3 sessions per week -body mass index between 18.5 to 25.5 kg per m2

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -musculoskeletal injuries or surgery; cardiovascular, respiratory, or metabolic disease -known allergies to gel ingredients (habitual gel consumption) -recent use of NSAIDs, caffeine, or central nervous system stimulants
