Conditions

The health conditions or problems studied in this research are anxiety and depression among university students. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of 24 - form Tai Chi interventions at different frequencies in reducing symptoms of these mental health issues, as measured by the Self - Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and the Self - Rating Depression Scale (SDS). High Frequency Tai Chi Group (HFTCG): Practice 24 style Tai Chi 5 times a week for 60 minutes each time for 8 consecutive weeks,MFTCG (Medium Frequency Tai Chi Group, MFTCG): Practice 24 style Tai Chi

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18 and 25 years old, currently enrolled as university students. 2. Exhibiting mild to moderate anxiety and/or depression symptoms, as indicated by a score greater than 50 on the Self - Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and/or a score greater than 53 on the Self - Rating Depression Scale (SDS). 3. Free from major physical diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, and cardiovascular problems, ensuring the ability to participate in regular Tai Chi exercises without limitations. 4. Not undergoing any other forms of psychological intervention or medication treatment that may affect anxiety and depression symptoms during the study period. 5. Voluntary participation, demonstrated by signing an informed consent form, indicating full understanding of the study's purpose, procedures, and potential risks.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. **Severe mental health issues**: Individuals with severe anxiety, major depressive disorder, or other serious mental disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. 2. **Exercise contraindications**: Participants with clear exercise contraindications or severe physical conditions, including heart disease, severe hypertension, acute infectious diseases, unhealed fractures, or significant muscle injuries. 3. **Previous Tai Chi experience**: Students who have received systematic Tai Chi training within the past year. 4. **Ongoing medication treatment**: Subjects who are taking anti - anxiety, antidepressant, or other medications that may significantly influence anxiety and depression symptoms at the start or during the study. 5. **Low intervention compliance**: Participants who fail to attend Tai Chi sessions regularly or have excessive absences (accumulating more than three missed sessions). 6. **Pregnancy or lactation**: Female subjects who are pregnant or breastfeeding. 7. **Concurrent participation in other exercise interventions**: Individuals involved in other exercise programs such as yoga or aerobics during the study period.
