Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 50 or older undergoing elective hip or knee replacement surgery at the First People's Hospital of Lianyungang City

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with a clear history of preoperative neurological and mental system diseases or those who have been using sedatives or antidepressants for a long time; 2.Has a history of alcohol abuse, drug abuse or drug dependence; 3.Has a history of brain surgery or injury; 4.Severe visual or auditory impairments; 5.Patients who failed to complete cognitive function tests or refused to participate in the study; 6.Sick sinoatrial node syndrome, second-degree or higher atrioventricular block, or other contraindications for the use of a2 adrenergic agonists; 7.Renal failure or liver dysfunction requiring dialysis.
