Conditions

Multiple myeloma is a malignant tumour caused by the abnormal proliferation of plasma cells in the bone marrow that secrete monoclonal immunoglobulins or fragments thereof (M proteins), resulting in a variety of clinical manifestations including extensive bone destruction, recurrent infections, anaemia, hypercalcemia, hyperviscosity syndrome and renal insufficiency.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.(i) patients with initial M protein positivity; 2.(ii) have been tested for free light chain (sFLC), TP, ALB, globulin, ß2-MG, Crea and Hb; 3.(iii) have signed informed consent and are in the sample bank.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.(i) data from the same patient; 2.(ii) incomplete data elements and no remaining samples.
