Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. genetic diagnosis is ß-thalassemia major; 2. regular blood transfusion; 3. older than 6 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients suffering from hepatitis, HIV, cancer, infection; 2. not back to the hospital for follow-up on time; 3. primary disease or complications deteriorated.
