Conditions

Healthy community-dwelling older adults aged 60 to 85 years Inspiratory muscle training / Diaphragm thickening fraction / Diaphragm excursion / Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization / Neuromuscular activation / Surface electromyography / Respiratory muscle fatigue / Community-dwelling older adults / Ultrasonography

Interventions

Participants in the IMT group complete a standardized familiarization session prior to data collection to ensure proper technique and device operation. Seated upright without back support with feet fl
Powerbreathe plus IMT training (IMT),Integrated Postural with Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization breathing training in dead-bug position (Postural+DNS) ,Deep breathing training (DB)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants will be included in the study if they meet the following criteria: 1.both males and females aged between 60 and 85 years, 2.with a Body Mass Index (BMI) within the range of 18.5 to 29.9 kg/squaremeter.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants will be excluded if they meet any of the following conditions: 1.cardiovascular contraindications for exercise testing, including significant resting ECG suggestive of ischemia, recent myocardial infarction or cardiac events, unstable angina, uncontrolled dysrhythmias causing symptoms or hemodynamic compromise, symptomatic heart failure, symptomatic severe aortic stenosis, acute myocarditis or pericarditis, and suspected or known dissecting aneurysm evaluated by a physician; 2.severe chronic conditions, including the presence of chronic kidney disease (CKD), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), or uncontrolled diabetes mellitus; 3.respiratory pathology, including a history of chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma, occupational lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, pulmonary edema, pulmonary embolism, or pulmonary tuberculosis; 4.neurological and sensory impairments, including a history of neuromuscular disorders (e.g., peripheral neuropathy, spinal cord injury, myopathy, or central nervous system diseases) or impairments in visual, vestibular, or somatosensory systems affecting balance; 5.musculoskeletal limitations, including acute or chronic extremity pain with a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) score > 5, a history of spinal dysfunction or serious pathologies (e.g., spondylolisthesis, scoliosis, kyphosis), traumatic pelvic injury, or a history of lower limb fractures within the past year; 6.surgical history, including previous cardiothoracic surgery (e.g., lung or pleural surgery, thoracotomy, pacemaker implantation), open upper abdominal surgery, or open spine surgery; 7.abnormal resting vital signs, including body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2); or 8.cognitive impairment, indicated by a Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score below 24, or any significant neurological condition that precludes the ability to comprehend and adhere to the study protocol.
