Passed the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) screening; any existing medical conditions must be stable (no medication adjustments required) or well-controlled, such as hypertension. 5. No musculoskeletal or neurological disorders that could interfere with resistance training, such as myasthenia gravis, muscle atrophy, stroke, or rheumatoid arthritis. 6. No allergies to proteins or amino acids; no intake of protein supplements, dietary supplements, or medications affecting muscle mass or muscle performance within the past 3 months. 7. Did not engage in regular exercise (defined as 3 sessions per week) for at least 3 months prior to study participation. 8. Not currently participating in another research study; willing to participate in the research and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Occurrence of an unforeseen event preventing continued participation in the research (e.g., accidental injury or illness). 2. Consumption of less than 80% of the total required dosage of essential amino acids or the placebo (i.e., taking fewer than 72 out of the total 90 scheduled doses). 3. Participation in exercise training or activities outside of this research that could act as confounding factors. 4. The participant requests to withdraw or is no longer willing to continue participating in the research.
