Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Thai women with singleton pregnancies. 2. Maternal age more than 18 years. 3. Gestational age more than 37 weeks. 4. Cephalic fetal presentation. 5. No previous cesarean delivery. 6. Indication for induction of labor, including post-term pregnancy, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, gestational diabetes mellitus, fetal growth restriction, abnormal amniotic fluid volume, prelabor rupture of membranes, or other accepted obstetric indications. 7. Estimated fetal weight below 4,000 g.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Spontaneous onset of labor. 2. Contraindications to vaginal delivery or indications for cesarean delivery (e.g., placenta previa). 3. History of cervical surgery. 4. Major fetal congenital anomalies (e.g., anencephaly or abdominal wall defects) or intrauterine fetal demise. 6. Refusal to participate in the study.
