Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients aged 18 years or older, 2.presenting with closed tendinous mallet finger (Doyle type I), diagnosed on clinical examination and confirmed on plain radiography to exclude bony avulsion, were eligible for inclusion.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Doyle type II, III, or IV mallet finger, 2.thumb involvement, 3.pre-existing severe swan-neck deformity, 4.a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, 5.inability or unwillingness to attend follow-up visits.
