Interventions

Participants allocated to the 3-minute walking every 30 minutes trial (WALK) will be asked to interrupt their sitting every 30 minutes and walk at their preferred pace for 3 minutes throughout working

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged between 18-55 years 2. Employed in an office-based role 3. Spending the majority of working hours seated 4. Willing to wear activity monitors during each assessment period

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Engage in structured exercise (more than 150 minutes per week of moderate-intensity physical activity or 75 minutes per week of vigorous-intensity physical activity) 2. Are current smokers 3. Have a known history of cardiovascular disease 4. Have any condition or injury that would affect physical activity
