Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Crohn&#039

Interventions

Adults (18 to 70 years) with a confirmed diagnosis of Crohn&#039

s disease or ulcerative colitis.,Healthy volunteers matched by age and sex, without IBD or chronic inflammatory diseases.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age 18 to 70 years, 2.IBD Group: Confirmed CD or UC diagnosis duration more than or equal to 6 months, 3.Control Group: No history of IBD, chronic inflammation, or established cardiovascular disease, 4.Ability to provide written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Established clinical ASCVD (e.g., MI, stroke), 2.Current or former smokers with a smoking history of more than 5 pack-years, 3.Current or prior use of statin therapy, 4.Hypertension (>140/90 mmHg or medication use), 5.Diabetes mellitus, 6.BMI more than or equal to 30 kg per metersquare, 7.Significant systemic autoimmune diseases (e.g., RA, SLE), 8.Chronic kidney disease (eGFR < 60).
