Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients aged 18 to 60 years who were admitted and treated for traumatic closed femoral fractures at Prapokklao Hospital between 2020 and 2026, 2. Patients who underwent surgical internal fixation such as open reduction and internal fixation ORIF with plates or nails or closed reduction and internal fixation CRIF, 3. Presence of follow up records in the electronic medical record EMR system at least until the date the patient achieved independent walking
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Open fractures 2.Multiple fractures in the lower limbs to control for confounding variables related to weight bearing capabilities, 3. Pre existing neuromuscular disorders or physical disabilities affecting ambulation prior to the injury such as stroke or Parkinsons disease or amputation, 4. Pathological fractures such as bone metastasis or primary bone malignancies, 5. Recurrent accidents or secondary trauma during the follow up period that affected the same anatomical site or impaired walking ability, 6. Development of major postoperative complications during the recovery phase
