Healthy patients over 18 years of age who received an elective surgery that required intubation under general anesthesia Modified Mallampati Test (MMT), Thyromental Distance (TMD), Sternomental Distance (SMD), Upper Lip Bite Test (ULBT), and TMHT.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. patients over 18 years old 2. received an elective surgery that required intubation under general anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients having facial and upper airway abnormalities 2. Patients undergoing airway surgery 3. Patients who were pregnant 4. Patients who had abnormal upper airways and who required other intubation devices besides the conventional technique 5. Patients requiring rapid sequence induction and intubation, and cricoid pressure 6. Patients with a body mass index > 40 kg/m2 7. Patients having contraindications for neck flexion and extension
