Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Older adults aged 60 years and older 2 Diagnosed with senile cataract 3 Scheduled for one day cataract surgery under local anesthesia 4 Able to communicate in Thai language 5 Able to hear and respond to verbal communication 6 No severe cognitive impairment or psychiatric disorders 7 Willing to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Presence of ocular complications that may affect surgery or increase the risk of intraoperative or postoperative complications such as glaucoma or ocular inflammation 2 Patients with chronic cough or uncontrolled respiratory disease who are not eligible for one day cataract surgery according to hospital guidelines 3 Use of medications affecting mental status such as anxiolytics or sleeping pills within 24 hours before surgery
