Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with epilepsy who had been receiving anti-seizure medication for at least three months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Current use of vitamin D supplements. 2 Initiation of or switch to a new anti-seizure medication (ASM) within the past three months. 3 Concomitant use of medications affecting vitamin D levels, including glucocorticoids, anti-tuberculosis drugs, and bisphosphonates. 4 Presence of the following comorbidities: chronic kidney disease (CKD stage 3-5), liver cirrhosis, and malabsorption syndromes. 5 Pregnant or breastfeeding patients.
