Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients meeting the Sepsis-3 criteria for septic shock, 2. patients who received norepinephrine therapy while in the emergency department, 3. Availability of recorded mean arterial pressure (MAP) and concurrent norepinephrine (NE) dosages for MAP/NE ratio calculation, 4. patients who were subsequently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Incomplete or missing data regarding MAP/NE ratio or clinical outcomes, 2. Patients who received cardiopulmonary resuscitation before enrollment, 3. Use of non-norepinephrine vasopressors as the primary therapy, 4. presence of confounding conditions affecting lactate or hemodynamic assessment, including pregnancy, liver cirrhosis, metformin use, spinal cord injury, and the Warburg effect, 5. patients not transferred directly from the initial referring facility
