Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus aged between 35 and 75 years 2. Having a glycated hemoglobin HbA1c level greater than or equal to 7 percent within the past 3 months as recorded in the diabetes patient record book 3. Currently taking oral hypoglycemic agents as prescribed by a physician with no adjustment or escalation of medication dosage within the past 3 months 4. No severe complications that may interfere with study participation such as end stage heart failure end stage renal disease severe cerebrovascular disease or severe psychiatric disorders 5. Having internet access possessing the LINE application and being able to use the application 6. Able to communicate in Thai including speaking reading and writing
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with diabetes who have physical disabilities affecting mobility 2. Patients with psychiatric disorders or mental health conditions as indicated by medical history ongoing treatment or possession of a psychiatric disability identification card 3. Patients with diabetes who have comorbid conditions that contraindicate exercise such as cardiovascular disease chronic kidney disease arthritis gout musculoskeletal disorders or other conditions restricting physical activity 4. Patients who have previously participated in a program involving Motivational Interviewing 5. Older adults with diabetes who are at risk of cognitive impairment defined as a score less than or equal to 3 on the Mini Cog assessment 6. Patients with impaired functional ability defined as a score less than 12 on the Barthel Activities of Daily Living ADL Index
