Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Acute respiratory failure patients who received non-invasive respiratory support in ER
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Pregnancy, 2.Patients with a do-not-intubate order, 3.Patients requiring immediate intubation, 4.Patients with severe hypoxemic respiratory failure (PaO2 <60 mmHg or SpO2 <90% despite receiving maximum oxygen therapy) or severe hypercapnic respiratory failure (pH <7.25), 5.Hemodynamically unstable patients or those with life-threatening arrhythmias, 6.Patients with neuromuscular diseases that may affect diaphragm function, 7.Patients with upper airway obstruction, 8.Patients with acute coronary syndrome, 9.Patients for whom diaphragm ultrasound may delay treatment, 10.Patients in whom optimal ultrasound images cannot be obtained
