Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Sepsis-induced hypotension or septic shock

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Pregnancy, 2.Patients with a do-not-intubate order, 3.Patients requiring immediate intubation, 4.Patients diagnosed with sepsis who have had hypotension for >2 hours since admission to the emergency department., 5.Patients with neuromuscular diseases that may affect diaphragm function, 6.Patients with chronic lung diseases who require CPAP or BiPAP at home , 7.Patients in whom optimal ultrasound images cannot be obtained

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Respiratory failure 72 hours after ED arrival Follow the patients throughout the treatment process. Record whether the patients are intubated.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Non-invasive respiratory support 72 hours after ED arrival Follow the patients throughout the treatment process. Record whether the patients receive high flow nasal cannula or NIV.,In-hospitla mortality Within this hospital admission Follow the patients throughout the hospital admission.,Lenght of hospital stay Within this hospital admission Follow the patients throughout the hospital admission.
