Eligibility

Sex/Gender
All
Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age greater than or equal 18 years 2. Undergoing elective or urgency aortic surgery (aneurysm or dissection) requiring CPB 3. Urgent (or urgency) surgery is an operation that must be performed soon, but not necessarily immediately. Delaying beyond a few hours may lead to patient deterioration, increased morbidity, or progression of disease. 4. Provision of informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Preexisting ocular pathology (e.g., glaucoma, optic neuritis) 2. Known intracranial disease affecting ONSD 3. Inadequate ultrasound window 4. Emergency surgery with hemodynamic instabilities 5. Refusal to participate

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Optic nerve sheath diameter pre-induction, pre-CPB, and post-CPB diameter of optic nerve sheath

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Factors associated with high risk group (ONSD more than 5.8 mm) Post CPB The coefficients correlation
