Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Male or female, aged 18 to 30 years. 2. Body mass index of 23 kg per square meter or higher. 3. Body fat percentage classified as overweight or obese, defined as: Males: 17.0 to 20.9 percent for overweight, or 21 percent or higher for obesity Females: 32.0 to 36.9 percent for overweight, or 37 percent or higher for obesity 4. Sedentary lifestyle, defined as predominantly engaging in sitting, reclining, or lying activities during waking hours with low energy expenditure of 1.5 metabolic equivalents or lower. Examples include computer use, attending classes, watching television, using mobile devices, reading, eating while seated, or prolonged travel with minimal physical movement.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Current smokers. 2. Excessive alcohol consumption, defined as more than 2 standard drinks per day for males or more than 1 standard drink per day for females. 3. Diagnosed medical conditions or contraindications to high-intensity exercise, including: Coronary artery disease with contraindications to vigorous exercise, Uncontrolled hypertension, defined as blood pressure of 160 over 100 millimeters of mercury or higher, Abnormal resting heart rate, defined as greater than 100 beats per minute, Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, Dyslipidemia, Hyperthyroidism, Neuromuscular disorders, Musculoskeletal disorders limiting exercise, Unstable psychiatric conditions 4. Pregnant or breastfeeding women, or individuals planning to become pregnant during the study period. 5. Individuals who have received contrast media for medical imaging. 6. Individuals with implanted metal or medical devices in the body.
