20 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus attending the diabetes clinic of a health-promoting hospital in Phayao Province, Thailand, 2) Individuals aged 20 years and above, 3) Treated with oral hypoglycemic agents, fasting blood glucose > 126 mg dL and HbA1c > 6.5 percent based on recent clinical record, 4) Cognitively intact, 5) Able to communicate in Thai, and 6) Willing to participate

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) The patient had previously participated in a nurse-led empowerment program, 2) The patient had severe diabetes-related complications, and 3) The patient had comorbidities that could limit participation, such as cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, diabetic retinopathy, or kidney failure.
