Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients receiving mechanical ventilation for more than two calendar days 2. Admitted to the Cardiac Care Unit or Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit for at least 48 hours 3. Platelet count greater than 50000 cells per cubic millimeter 4. Able to read write and understand Thai language or have a close relative who can provide information 5. Provide informed consent from the patient or a legally authorized representative
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with allergy to products containing fish derivatives or honey flavor 2. Patients with oral wounds or lesions 3. Patients who require reintubation within 24 hours 4. Patients who are mechanically ventilated for less than 48 hours 5. Patients diagnosed with ventilator associated pneumonia prior to enrollment 6. Patients with hemodynamic instability
