Interventions

Participants will undergo motion analysis assessment consist of 3 steps
1. Markers and surface EMG attachment 2. Maximum voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC) test 3. Dynamic movement tasks. Surface EMG (sEMG) will be recorded from the deltoids (anterior, middle, poster

18 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients diagnosed with unilateral massive irreparable rotator cuff tears of the shoulder, exhibiting a complete passive range of motion at the affected joint. 2. Age between 18 - 85 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with bilateral rotator cuff tears of the shoulder. 2. Patients with VAS pain score > 4 or those who have shoulder discomfort during shoulder motion during the research protocol. 3. Patients with previous fractures of proximal humerus, clavicle or scapular region of the extremity involved in the study. 4. Patients with neurological injury that interferes with movement of the shoulder girdle of the extremity involved in the study. 5. Patients with concomitant shoulder pathologies such as adhesive capsulitis, glenohumeral instability or osteoarthritis of the shoulder of the extremity involved in the study. 6. Patients unwilling to participate in the study.
