Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 Children must be no more than 2 years old. 2 Must be diagnosed with a respiratory tract infection with laboratory-confirmed RSV via rapid antigen test or PCR. 3 The patient must be admitted for inpatient treatment at the pediatric ward of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. 4 Guardians or legal representatives must provide written informed consent for data collection and, if applicable, the collection of additional specimens for genetic testing.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 Patients who have medical contraindications for respiratory specimen collection. This includes: 1.1 Prior surgery of the sinuses or skull base. 1.2 History of facial or skull base fractures. 1.3 Encephalocele (protrusion of the brain through a skull defect).
