Eligibility

Sex/Gender
Male
Age
18 Years to 35 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Body Mass Index between 18.5 and 24.9 2. No history of serious medical conditions including cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, blood pressure disorders, diabetes, or neurological disorders 3. Engage in moderate physical activity for at least 150 minutes per week

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Use of dietary supplements or herbs such as garlic, turmeric, or ginseng within 1 month prior to the study 2. History of lower extremity muscle injury within 3 months prior to the study 3. Presence of physical injuries preventing exercise participation or a history of adverse events following exercise 4. Inability to participate on the scheduled study dates 5. History of adverse reactions to ginger consumption such as heartburn, bloating, diarrhea, or gastric irritation 6. Failing the cardiovascular risk assessment criteria 7. Identified as having health risks for exercise based on the PAR-Q Plus questionnaire 8. Use of medications affecting the cardiovascular system or blood glucose levels

Energy Expenditure Resting, throughout the aerobic exercise session, and during the recovery phase. Indirect calorimetry using a metabolic cart to measure oxygen consumption and carbon dioxide production,Blood Glucose 4 time points: 1) Baseline (pre-ingestion), 2) 1h post-ingestion (pre-exercise), 3) Immediately post-aerobic exercise, 4) Immediately post-isokinetic test Capillary blood glucose measurement using a portable handheld glucometer.,Muscle Function At baseline (before exercise) and immediately after finishing the exercise session. Isokinetic strength testing of the leg muscles using an isokinetic dynamometer.

MeasureTime frame
Gastrointestinal Symptoms Baseline (pre-ingestion), every 15 mins during the 1h post-ingestion rest period, every 15 mins during aerobic exercise, and immediately post-exercise. Assessment of gastrointestinal symptoms including heartburn, gastric irritation, nausea, bloating, diarrhea, and overall discomfort using a standardized visual analog scale or symptom questionnaire.,Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) Baseline (pre-exercise), post-exercise, and 24, 48, 72, and 96 hours post-aerobic exercise. Assessment of muscle soreness intensity using a 10-cm Visual Analog Scale (VAS) or Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) during palpation and movement of the exercised muscles.
