Interventions

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Healthy older adults aged between 60 and 77 years. 2. Non-smokers who are capable of independent movement and activities of daily living. 3. Individuals who have not engaged in any structured exercise programs for at least the past 6 months. 4. Individuals who have not taken any dietary supplements for at least the past 6 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of severe cardiovascular or respiratory diseases. 2. Acute musculoskeletal conditions such as spondylolisthesis, scoliosis, or gout. 3. Individuals with uncontrolled hypertension. 4. Any medical condition that may interfere with exercise safety as determined by a specialist.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Core Stability (Core Endurance) Baseline (Week 0) and Post-intervention (Week 8). Measured by the Prone Bridge (Plank) Test. The total time in seconds that the participant can maintain a neutral spine position is recorded.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Pulmonary Function Baseline (Week 0) and Post-intervention (Week 8). Measured via a calibrated computerized spirometer following ATS guidelines. Key variables include FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, FEF25-75%, and MVV.,Cardiorespiratory Fitness Baseline (Week 0) and Post-intervention (Week 8). Cardiorespiratory Fitness,Body Flexibility Baseline (Week 0) and Post-intervention (Week 8). Assessed via the Sit-and-Reach test (lower body) and Back-Scratch test (upper body) measured in centimeters.
