Interventions

Participants in this group will receive Court-type Thai traditional massage (CTTM) combined with a wrist splint. The massage is performed on the affected arm(s) for 30 minutes per side, 2 sessions per

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18 years or older. 2. Confirmed first-time diagnosis of mild to moderate degree carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) by electrodiagnosis. 3. Willing to provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe degree of carpal tunnel syndrome from electrodiagnosis. 2. History of previous treatments for carpal tunnel syndrome including: local steroid injection within 6 months, physical modalities within 1 month, or previous CTS surgery. 3. Contraindications or clinical risks for massage (e.g., deep vein thrombosis in the affected arm, history of ipsilateral wrist fracture, open wounds or infections at the massage site, bleeding disorders, or unstable hemodynamic status). 4. Having other causes of pain or numbness (e.g., cervical radiculopathy, polyneuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, or uncontrolled diabetic neuropathy). 5. Cognitive impairment affecting research cooperation.
