Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1)Age > 18 years 2)Primary pterygium T1, T2 or T3 grade with indication of surgical excision as follow - Visually significant or induced astigmatism - Significant irritation or inflammation failed to response to medical treatment - Limited extraocular movement or diplopia - Cosmetically unacceptable 3) Indicated for surgical excision with amniotic membrane graft transplantation such as glaucoma suspected, large size pterygium which conjunctival autograft is insufficient, thinned conjunctiva due to age related change. 4)Voluntary informed consent obtained and available to adhere to drugs and follow-up visits
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Bi-headed pterygium 2) Pterygium which indicated to combine surgery with mitomycin-C 3) Currently on any topical medication except artificial tears or lubricant gel (such as anti-glaucoma medications, steroids) 4) Diagnosed with other ocular surface diseases rather than pterygium, meibomian gland dysfunction and dry eyes 5) Previous conjunctival surgery such as previous pterygium excision, strabismus surgery or conjunctival mass excision, or previous ocular trauma 6) Patient undergone pterygium surgery which required addition suture for amniotic membrane graft fixation. 7) Unwilling to participate and sign informed consent 8) Pregnancy and lactation
