Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 Age 60 years or older 2 First time participation in a program related to home environmental modification for fall prevention 3 Living in own single storey house with no internal stairs and with outdoor stairs not exceeding 8 steps 4 Willing and able to participate for the full duration of the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Communication difficulties that could interfere with study participation; cognitive impairment, operationalized as a score of 8 or higher on the Six-Item Cognitive Impairment Test (6-CIT); functional dependence indicated by a Barthel Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Index score ranging from 0 to 4; and a prior history of fall-related hip fracture requiring surgical intervention.
