Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1 Age 20 years at enrollment 2 Singleton pregnancies 3 Gestational age 15 weeks at enrollment 4 Attending antenatal care at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital during the study period 5 No vitamin D deficiency
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1 Multiple pregnancies 2 Pre-existing diabetes mellitus (Type 1 or Type 2 diagnosed before pregnancy) 3 Use of vitamin D3 supplementation > 400 IU/day or equivalent for more than 1 month prior to enrollment 4 Condition affecting vitamin D metabolism : Women with diagnosed chronic kidney disease, liver disease, malabsorption syndromes 5 Use of medications known to interfere with glucose metabolism or vitamin D status (e.g., corticosteroid, anticonvulsant). 6 Allergy for vitamin D 7 Vitamin D toxicity 8 hypercalcemia and hyperphosphatemia.
