Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP) of any subtype. 2. Underwent the initial anteroposterior (AP) pelvic radiograph for hip surveillance at QSNICH between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2024. 3.Complete medical records available for analysis, including demographic data, GMFCS classification, and interpretable radiographic images.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of hip or pelvic surgery prior to the initial surveillance radiograph. 2.Presence of other neuromuscular conditions or syndromes affecting hip pathology (e.g., myelomeningocele, arthrogryposis). 3.Severe hip displacement (Migration Percentage > 40%) detected at the initial baseline assessment (already displaced at entry). 4.Incomplete clinical or radiological data preventing MP measurement.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Cumulative incidence of significant hip displacement. Assessed from enrollment up to 10 years follow-up Defined as the first radiographic detection of a Reimers' Migration Percentage more than 40 percent OR the event of undergoing hip reconstructive surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Risk factors associated with hip displacement. Assessed over the follow-up period (up to 10 years). Analysis of Adjusted Hazard Ratios (aHR) for clinical predictors, specifically Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) levels (I-V), CP subtypes and presence of epilepsy.
