The study population consisted of first permanent molars in 6 to 7 yearolds children enrolled in grades 1 and 2 at Ban Mahachai (Anukul Rat) Municipal School, Samut Sakhon, Thailand. Children who possessed at least one eligible pair of teeth within the same jaw (either maxillary or mandibular first permanent molars) that were fully erupted, exhibited deep pit and fissure morphology, were classified as codes 0 to 2 of the International Caries Detection and Assessment Syste

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria 1. Children who possessed at least one eligible pair of teeth within the same jaw (either maxillary or mandibular first permanent molars) that were fully erupted, exhibited deep pit and fissure morphology, were classified as codes 0 to 2 of the International Caries Detection and Assessment System (ICDAS) and had no previous history of fissure sealant placement or restorative treatment. 2. Children who were cooperative during treatment. 3. Children for whom written informed consent was obtained from their parents or legal guardians.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria 1. Children who did not possess the teeth as specified in the inclusion criteria. 2. Children who exhibited uncooperative behavior during treatment. 3. Children for whom informed consent was not obtained.
