18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients were eligible for inclusion if they were adults aged 18 years or older, had undergone abdominal surgery, were admitted for postoperative care in the surgical ward, were able to communicate effectively, and were capable of providing informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if they had cognitive impairment, required immediate postoperative admission to an intensive care unit, underwent emergency reoperation, or had severe comorbid conditions that could independently affect postoperative recovery.
