Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Adults aged 18 to 65 years 2. Patients undergoing elective general surgery between October 2022 and May 2024 3. Patients who provide written informed consent by themselves or their legally authorized representatives
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Known allergy to coconut 2. Hemodynamic instability or shock 3. Immunocompromised status and type 2 diabetes mellitus with HbA1c 7 percent or higher 4. Impaired consciousness 5. Obesity 6. Gastrointestinal obstruction 7. Conditions associated with a high risk of aspiration, such as bowel obstruction or gastroesophageal reflux disease 8. Participants who decline or withdraw from the study
