Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients (more than 18 years old) scheduled for surgical procedures. 2. Receiving epidural block for postoperative analgesia as part of routine clinical care. 3. Expected to undergo standard clinical assessments from which study data can be meticulously documented.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Unable to evaluate level of analgesia post-operatively (e.g. required mechanical ventilator, under post-operative sedation, post-operative delirium) 2. Failure of epidural block - no analgesia effects from epidural block/ no block level during post operative evaluation at ward within 24 hours after surgery
