Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Female adolescents aged 12 14 years 2. Hemoglobin concentration between 8.0 and 11.9 g dL 3. No history of thalassemia 4. No known allergy to seafood 5. Non smokers

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Failure to complete the study procedures 2. Withdrawal of consent during the study period 3. Presence of severe illness during the study 4. Irregular menstrual cycle

Hemoglobin and red blood cell indices were measured using an automated hematology analyzer (Sysmex XN-350). ,Serum osteocalcin and soluble transferrin receptor (sTfR) levels At baseline and after 12 weeks of intervention. Serum osteocalcin and soluble transferrin receptor levels were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).,Body height At baseline and after 12 weeks of intervention.
