Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. One mandibular third molar requiring surgical extraction. Diagnosis confirmed by supervising oral surgeon with surgical necessity, 2. The difficulty level of the case meets the departmental criteria for use with undergraduate students. Impactions rated Slightly to Moderately Difficult per Pederson Difficulty Index, 3. Age 18-45 years, 4. Provided written informed consent after reviewing study details.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Local pathology: periodontitis, pulpitis, apical periodontitis, pericoronitis, 2. Preoperative pain at surgical site, 3. Analgesics within 2 weeks before to the surgery, 4. Allergy to ibuprofen or local anesthetic agent.
