Interventions

Group A participants will perform a forty minute eccentric exercise program for six weeks including three supervised and two home based sessions per week to reduce upper limb tremor in Parkinsons dise

50 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged between 50 and 80 years. 2. Clinically diagnosed with idiopathic PD at stages 2 to 3 according to the modified 3. Hoehn and Yahr scale (54). 4. Taking stable medication for at least one month prior to enrollment. 5. Mini-Mental Status Exam (MMSE) score > 24 (104). 6. Able to understand and follow verbal instructions.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Clinically diagnosed with dementia or cognitive impairment. 2. Participation in a structured physical therapy program more than once per month. 3. A history of, or active diagnosis of, other neurological disorders such as stroke, idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus, or stiff person syndrome. 4. Presence of cardiopulmonary diseases that are not adequately controlled with medication, including but not limited to uncontrolled heart failure, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or unstable angina. 5. Musculoskeletal conditions that could interfere with study procedures, such as severe hand injury or recent fractures, or chronic neck pain that limits upper limbs mobility. 6. Current treatment with haemodialysis. 7. Uncontrolled hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or dyslipidaemia despite medical management.
