Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: patients that 1) aged over 60 years, 2) had normal preoperative coagulogram, 3) were planned for standard spinal anesthesia, and 4) had willing to participate and gave their informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were those who had 1) severe peripheral vascular disease, 2) peripheral neuropathy, 3) cellulitis at the leg, 4) uncontrolled congestive heart failure, 5) deep vein thrombosis, and 6) allergy to compression stocking.
