Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)patient with acute appendicitis 2)Age >18years . 3) presenting with clinical suspicion of acute appendicitis .for operarive interference.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Patient with hemolytic anemia. 2)Patient with pre existing liver disease or jaundice. 3)Patient on hepatotoxic drugs. 4)patient with other cause abdominal sepsis

serum total bilirubin level At admission mean serum bilirubin level

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
correlation between serum bilirubin level and intra operative findings. After surgical confirmation senstivity and specificity calculated using post operative diagnosis as gold standard.
