Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: all patients who received an isolated MBTTS procedure, except for those who also underwent ligation of patent ductus ateriosus (PDA), pulmonary artery plasty or atrial septectomy in single-ventricle physiology, which were considered part of the inclusion criteria.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were as follows: (1) cases where MBTTS was part of another procedure, such as the Norwood procedure; (2) patients who required additional surgical repairs, such as total anomalous pulmonary venous return (TAPVR) repair or unifocalization; and (3) cases with incomplete operative notes or missing clinical course data during hospitalization.
