Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Children were classified as American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I or II 2. Children were scheduled to undergo elective surgery
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Children with infected wounds in the head/face region preventing the use of VR headset 2. Children with intellectual disability 3. Children were blind 4. Children were unable to tolerate the VR box 5. Children or their parents who declined participation in the study
