Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Healthy adults aged at least 18 years 2. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) status I or II 3. Undergoing periodontal or implant-related surgical procedures involving the harvesting of a free gingival graft or connective tissue graft from the palatal region, in which the area of the upper first and second molars is available for use as the intended study site

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Presence of systemic diseases affecting healing such as uncontrolled diabetes (HbA1c > 7.0), autoimmune, infectious, inflammatory conditions, or intake of drugs known to interfere with periodontal tissue health and healing 2. Pregnant women or nursing mother 3. Current smokers
