Conditions

To compare time to full enteral feeding using glycerin enema and NSS irrigation in preterm infants Glycerin, NSS irrigation, full enteral feeding

Interventions

GE group, once daily glycerin enema will be performed using 1 mL/kg of diluted glycerine (1:4),NSS group, once daily rectal irrigation will be performed using 10-20 mL/kg of NSS

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Preterm infants with GA 25 0/7 -32 6/7 admitted to NICUs or special care nursery (SCN) 2. Hemodynamically stable within their first 72 hours

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Passed transitional or normal stool 2. Known chromosome abnormalities 3. Major congenital anomalies such as GI malformation (abdominal wall defects, TE fistula, anorectal malformation, congenital diaphragmatic hernia) 4. Cyanotic congenital heart diseases
