Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Older adults aged between 60 and 79 years (early and middle-old age), of both sexes, 2. Individuals with mild (13-18 points) to moderate (19-24 points) depression as assessed by the Thai Geriatric Depression Scale (TGDS-30) (Rehabilitation of Cognitive Function Group, 1994), 3. Individuals with the ability to understand and communicate in Thai, as assessed through conversation and self-introduction, 4. Individuals who provide voluntary informed consent to participate in the study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. A history of psychiatric disorders within the past two years, including generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or suicidal ideation, 2. Presence of dementia, as assessed by the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) (Institute of Geriatric Medicine, 1999), with the following cutoff scores < 15 for individuals with no formal education, < 18 for individuals with primary education, < 23 for individuals with education beyond the primary level, 3. Individuals currently undergoing treatment, including antidepressant medication, psychotropic drugs, or other forms of psychological therapy, 4. Older adults with visual, speech, or hearing impairments, 5. Individuals with the absence of the left index finger.
