18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age between 18 and 75 years. 2. Chronic kidney disease stage V requiring urgent dialysis within 1 week.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Age younger than 18 years or older than 75 years. 2. Contraindications to peritoneal dialysis or hemodialysis such as severe intraabdominal adhesions, active infection, uncontrolled shock, or severe respiratory failure. 3. Body mass index greater than 35 kg per square meter. 4. Severe electrolyte imbalance, for example serum potassium greater than 6.5 mEq per L or serum sodium less than 110 mEq per L. 5. Expected survival less than 6 months.
