Interventions

The mental training program
4-week intervention. Week 1: Breathing Control (1-2 minutes, twice daily, 5 days/week) using diaphragmatic breathing. Week 2: Mindfulness for Sport (5-15 minutes daily, 5 days/week), building on breat

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Male and female national cyclists, aged 18 to 35 years. 2. Participants must have continuous experience in competitive cycling training for at least one year. 3. Participants must be currently competing at a national level or have significant national competition experience. 4. Participants must be able to undergo training continuously throughout the data collection period. 5. Participants must voluntarily consent to participate in the research.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Participants who cannot continuously attend the training during the data collection period. 2. Participants who sustain injuries preventing normal training. 3. Participants who decide to withdraw from data collection. 4. Participants with a history of head injury causing pathological impact to the head. 5. Participants with a history of neurological disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease, hemiplegia) and/or visual impairments (e.g., retinal degeneration, glaucoma, strabismus). 6. Participants undergoing psychiatric treatment and/or with a history of heart disease.

MeasureTime frame
Mental Readiness Measurements will be taken before and after the 4-week period. Measured by the Mental Readiness Form-3 (MRF-3),Mental Toughness Measurements will be taken before and after the 4-week period. Assessed using the Mental Toughness Inventory (MTI),Mindfulness Measurements will be taken before and after the 4-week period. Measured with the Mindfulness Inventory for Sport (MIS),Sleep Quality Measurements will be taken before and after the 4-week period. Evaluated using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI)
