Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Type 2 diabetes patients 2. Ages 60 - 90 years old 3. The level of HbA1c can be controlled according to the individual criteria set by the doctor, considering factors such as age and co-morbidities. These details will be recorded in each patient's DM sheet. 4. Symptoms of diabetic neuropathy, such as sharp, shooting pain like an electric shock, needle-like pricking, or numbness. 5. The monofilament test results were abnormal, falling into the very low to moderate risk categories, with the following criteria: - Very low risk: no risk factors found, including a history of foot ulcers or amputation of the leg/foot/toes, abnormal skin and foot shape, abnormal results from foot sensation assessment, abnormal foot pulses, or an ABI < 0.9. - Low risk: abnormal sensation in the feet (LOPS) or abnormal foot pulses (PAD) - Moderate risk: indicated when 2 out of the following 3 abnormalities are detected: LOPS, PAD, or foot deformity. 6. If you have other underlying conditions such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol, you must be able to control them. 7. Can understand and follow the research process.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. There are contraindications or precautions for acupuncture, such as using blood thinners like warfarin, immune deficiency disorders, uncontrolled epilepsy, conditions requiring surgery, and undiagnosed diseases. 2. Elderly patients who have type 2 diabetes may also experience complications such as coronary artery disease, stroke, or peripheral artery disease. 3. I have a fear of needles.
